An SEND Independent Adviser is a qualified professional who provides impartial advice and support to parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). They can help parents to understand their child’s needs, identify appropriate educational provision, and navigate the SEND system.

There are many benefits to using a SEND Independent Adviser. They can:

You can use a SEND Independent Adviser at any stage of your child’s SEND journey. However, it is particularly helpful to use one if:

  • You are considering making a request for an EHC assessment 
  • You are facing a SEND Tribunal

The cost of a SEND Independent Adviser will vary depending on their experience and qualifications.
